Refik, a retired engineer, gives his Syrian caregiver, Nesrin, some money so she can flee to Europe with his two sons. While Refik is preparing to reunite with his family for Eid al-Adha, Nesrin leaves her children behind and disappears. İhsan, a bankrupt dairy products merchant, tries to convince his father Refik to provide financial support so he can set up a livestock farm. Refik’s daughter Nalan, who is planning to leave her academic career in Istanbul to settle in Germany, returns to her father’s home for the holiday after a long absence.
